TGIF & Fourth of July

Happy Friday friends!

Hope you all had a fantastic Fourth of July. I’m super thankful that the workweek was a short one (thanks to the mid-week holiday). I’m about 25% through my four-day weekend and can’t wait to spend these next three days continuing my r&r mission. Sometimes a little r&r is all you need to recover from a hectic week.

When I need to take a breather and get my mind off the everyday hustle, I like to take my energy outside. There’s something about fresh air that helps me hit the reset button. So, to end a hectic workweek on Wednesday, Alex and I took Mogul down to the park near our neighborhood. We like to bring the pup down to the lake and people watch (yes, only to people watch, because Mogul still doesn’t like to jump in the water).

The temperatures are soaring over 100 degrees these days, so you either have to go early morning or later in the evening; we like going in the evening so we can catch the sunset.

Fourth of July was really low key for us. With it being Mogul’s first experience at the house on Fourth of July, we wanted to make sure he was good with all the fireworks. We live near a military base where he hears artillery strikes quite often, so he’s used to it for the most part. He did excellent – the fireworks were loud, but he slept right through most of them.

Mogul wasn’t a fan of his bandana at first but left it alone after a little while. Look how handsome he looks representing America! We love taking pictures in our festive attire on Fourth of July, it’s basically a tradition.
