October 2025 Goals

Does anyone else feel like the months of September and October always fly by way too fast? It’s like I wait all year long for my favorite ‘ber months to get here (hello fall, hello pumpkin everything), then I blink my eyes for one second and they’re more than halfway gone already. Boo! September, fast as it seemed to go by, was a busy month for us as we tried our best to balance weekend adventures and baby priorities. We had a lot going on, but I’d say it was a productive month all things considered. Let’s recap my September goals and take a look at what I want to accomplish in October.

In September, I wanted to…

  • Indulge in my first pumpkin pie latte of the season (this is a very important goal — I’m ready for it). YEAH (many of them…)!

  • Actually start using my planner. No, I’m still disorganized as ever. Maybe in October.

  • Hydrate, eat healthy foods, and stay active. Did pretty well here. Have been drinking SO much water while continuing to eat a good mix of foods and get those steps in.

  • Finish and share our baby registry. I feel like it’s always a work in progress because who even knows everything they’ll need, right? But I did share it with the people so I feel good about that.

  • Read 2 books. I physically read 1 book, which was our September virtual book club pick Not Quite Dead Yet by Holly Jackson (3 stars). I thought it was entertaining, but in the end, nothing special.

  • Be more active on the blog. Not necessarily as active as I would have liked to be, but I did publish 5 posts. Have been working in the background on some ideas too, with hopes to have a lot more content to share between now and the end of the year.

  • Clean out and reorganize my bedroom dresser and closet space (I have so many clothes I need to donate). I was actually quite successful here — finally! I’ve got quite a few bags to donate, but my closet space is looking much better.

  • Relocate Alex’s office space to our spare room (need to start making room for baby). We chipped away at this. Didn’t finish the whole project in September, but we’re moving!

  • Continue decluttering the house (we’ve been really good at this the last couple months). Yes, we’ve done such a good job with this.

  • Keep our evening walk routine going strong. Haven’t squeezed in as many walks because Mogul hurt his back foot and we’re trying to give him some time to recover.

In October, I want to…

  • Visit the pumpkin patch (this is a yearly tradition for us).

  • Get some mums for the porch.

  • Setup the baby furniture and get the nursery in order. Baby readiness is my #1 priority this month.

  • Read 2 books (ideally finishing at least the new Thursday Murder Club book The Impossible Fortune by Richard Osman and our October virtual book club pick).

  • Listen to 1 spooky season audiobook.

  • Exercise the body (walking, prenatal workouts, etc.).

What are your goals for October?

See you next month for a check-in.

Enjoy!
