New Music Series: August 2019 Favorites
Hi friends!
If you’re reading this, it means you survived another Friday the 13th… so, congrats on that! I’m super glad it’s (finally) the weekend. It was a long week of work and travel for work for me, so I’m happy to have a low key weekend of writing and online shopping ahead.
Let’s talk music today. One of my favorite things to do is listen to and share music, so I thought it would be fun to start a new music series where I share an end-of-the-month update on all my favorite music albums from the month. Seeing as it’s already mid-September, you can see I’m behind on my August recap. Better late than never, amirite?
My favorite August releases come from genres all over the musical spectrum: a country album, a couple pop albums (hello new Taylor Swift album!), a pop influenced hip-hop album, and an indie-style pop rock album. To see my favorite choices from August, keep scrolling!
Wild Blue, Part 1, Hunter Hayes. Favorite songs include Loving You, Wild Blue, and One Good Reason.
Trust Issues, Astrid S. Favorite songs include Trust Issues and Emotion.
Lover, Taylor Swift. Favorite songs include I Think He Knows, Cruel Summer, Miss Americana & The Heartbreak Prince, Lover, Death By A Thousand Cuts, The Man, and False God.
Whatever USA, Hoodie Allen. Favorite songs include Come Around, You Should Let Me Know, 60 Seconds, and Giving Up On Us.
tryhard, The Band CAMINO. Favorite songs include See Through, Break Me, Hush Hush, and Haunted.
I want to hear from you! If you decide to listen to or if you have already listened to any of these albums, let me know your favorites in the comments below. Enjoy!
