Friday Favorites #9

Hello and Happy Friday! Welcome back to Friday Favorites, where each week I’ll be sharing a handful of things I’m loving lately. I know I’m super late in posting today’s list of favorites (it’s quite literally almost midnight, oops), so if you’re reading this on Saturday, consider it Friday Favorites (Jen Time). Better late than never though, amirite? Cheers to Friday (and the weekend) friends, we made it!

Relearning piano

I haven’t played since I was a kid… those lessons I took were a long, long, looooong time ago. As I get into more complicated compilations, I’m still having trouble with the whole right brain/left brain, right hand/left hand doing different movement things, but we’ll get there eventually. It’s a process.

Rhode pocket blush in shade Toasted Teddy

After sitting on my wishlist for many, MANY months, I finally caved and bought the Rhode pocket blush in the shade Toasted Teddy (dark warm terracotta color). Let’s just say, I’m soooo obsessed — it’s exactly the kind of product I was hoping for! Now, please convince me I don’t need all six colors LOL.

Short n’ Sweet Deluxe

Okay Sabrina! 15 Minutes and Busy Woman are my personal favorites — more fun, cheeky pop from our girl! I really love the deluxe album cover too.

A surprise Valentine’s card from my husband

After being away on business travel all last week, I didn’t get home until 9pm on Valentine’s Day. But, Alex had a nice home cooked dinner waiting for me, then gave me a surprise card with a sweet message inside. 14 years and it’s still the little things.

3rd time’s the charm HOT latte from Morning Jump

The first trip we didn’t make it before closing time, the second trip we got iced coffee instead of hot coffee, but the third trip fit the bill just right… perfect for a cold afternoon walk in the park. Super worth it for a delicious latte from my favorite local coffee company.

Kelsea Ballerini concert in Charlotte, NC

Thank goodness the weather cooperated! It snowed and iced in North Carolina all of Wednesday afternoon and evening, and the concert was half a state away on Thursday night. Alex and I drove three hours to Charlotte after work, then the three hours back home post-concert. A long night (and always a tough drive), but totally, totally worth it to see one of my favorite artists headline her first arena tour. Loved hearing Baggage, We Broke Up, and Penthouse, just to name a few. Also enjoyed Ashe’s opening set — I liked her vibes despite having never heard of her music.

Have the best weekend, whatever you do! It’s going to be another cold weekend here, but at least it’ll be sunny.

PS — Friday Favorites #8 from two weeks ago if you’re interested.

Enjoy!
